Kay-Sölve Richter (born December 28, 1974 in Gifhorn , Lower Saxony ) is a German journalist and television presenter .

Life

Kay-Sölve Richter grew up in the Diestelbruch district of Detmold . After graduating from the Christian-Dietrich-Grabbe-Gymnasium in Detmold (1994), Richter began as a trainee at the local radio station Radio Lippe , for which she had already worked as a student. Then she moderated at Energy Hamburg . After switching to the private broadcaster Radio Hamburg , her radio voice became known to a larger audience. Later she also carried out broadcasts on the WDR radio program 1Live .

In 2000 she switched from radio to television. First she presented the regional news magazine Guten Abend RTL on RTL Nord . From 2003 she spoke the news on the news channel n-tv , an RTL subsidiary, mostly around noon. In addition, she moderated the main news program RTL aktuell on RTL together with Peter Kloeppel .

In 2005, Richter switched to ZDF , where he moderated today's news in the ZDF morning magazine . In addition, from 2007 she also took over the moderation in the ZDFwochen-journal , alternating with Susana Santina . On May 4, 2009, she switched to the new main presenter for tonight's news, where she replaced Annika de Buhr .

Since December 5, 2010, Richter has been the regular substitute for Gundula Gause and Heinz Wolf as co-moderator in heute-journal .

Since February 7, 2011, she has primarily moderated the afternoon programs of the heute-Nachrichten and the program heute - in Germany . She took turns moderating with her colleague Ina Bergmann . Richter hosted the last time tonight on January 14, 2011 . Since July 2011 she has also sporadically been working as a substitute for heute news in the ZDF morning magazine . Since March 2015 she has also acted as moderator for the ZDF midday magazine . After the midday magazine moved to Berlin, she moderated the late-night run of the ZDF morning magazine alongside Mitri Sirin .

During her work as an editor and moderator, she also began studying history and political science in Hamburg , which she successfully completed in 2002 with the academic degree Diplom .

When she is not broadcasting, Richter works as a media trainer . In 2006 she was nominated for the German Television Award in the category “best moderation of an information program”.
