Kay Ramczyk

Kay Ramczyk (born January 27, 1972 in Lübeck ) is a German singer, actor and musical performer .

Life

Kay Ramczyk attended the Thomas Mann School in Lübeck, where she learned the basics of acting and singing in working groups such as the theater group and the choir. In 1991 he played the poet Rattengift in the school production of joke, satire, irony and deeper meaning , with which the theater group was invited to the grave house, the Detmold birthplace of Christian Dietrich Grabbe . As a teenager he took dance lessons at the Lübeck children's dance theater Heino Heiden , with whom he appeared in The Nutcracker in 1988 at the Hamburg State Opera . 1993-1996 he studied acting, singing and dance at the Stage School in Hamburg. After completing his training, he founded Theater NN Hamburg with some school colleagues and teachers, where he stayed for a number of years. Kay Ramczyk worked as an actor for the Austrian participation at the Expo 2000 under the direction of Martina van Kasten . Between 2004 and 2008 he ran an art gallery in Berlin-Friedrichshain on a voluntary basis. In 2009 he developed the character Brigitte Skrothum, in which he has appeared at events since then. Since 2013 he has been part of the ensemble of the Velvets Theater in Wiesbaden . He lives in Berlin and has been a practicing Buddhist and member of the Buddhist religious community Sōka Gakkai International since 1998 .
