Kelly Overton (born August 28, 1978 ) is an American actress , screenwriter and producer .

Life

Overton grew up in Wilbraham , Massachusetts , and studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City , from which she graduated with the highest honor, the Charles Jehlinger Award . In April 2004 she married fellow actor Judson Pearce Morgan.

Career

Overton starred on off-Broadway and on several television shows. She began her television career in 2000 as Rainn Wilkins in the series All My Children . In 2002 she returned to Broadway , where she first appeared as an understudy for several roles in The Graduate , eventually replacing Alicia Silverstone as Elaine Robinson . After five years in New York, she moved to Los Angeles , where she returned to her film and television career. Together with her husband, she wrote and produced the film The Collective in 2008 , in which she also played the lead role of Tyler Clarke . In 2010 she took on the role of Christie Monteiro in the film adaptation of the fighting game series Tekken . TV roles in particular followed. Since 2016 she can be seen in the leading role in the TV series Van Helsing .
