Kevin Serge Durand (born January 14, 1974 in Thunder Bay , Ontario ) is a Canadian actor .

Career

Kevin Durand played mostly supporting roles in films such as Butterfly Effect and as a guest star in various television series, including Stargate - Kommando SG-1 and Lost . His most famous role is that of Joshua in the television series Dark Angel . He was seen next to Russell Crowe in 1999 in Mystery - New York: A Game of Honor as Ice Hockey Player Tree , on the death train to Yuma in 2007 as the psychopath Tucker , also in 2007 in Born to be Wild as a mentally underexposed rocker and in Robin Hood 2010 as Robin Longstride's (Robin Hood's) loyal companion Little John . Since 2014 he portrayed Vasiliy Fet in the FX - horror series The Strain .

Durand, who was named Best Comedian in his native Canada in 1994, is capable of playing a wide variety of character types. From the naive village boy Tree in Mystery Alaska , to the cheerful, energetic companion Robin Hood, to characters like Tucker on a death train to Yuma , where Durand was able to convey the underhand dangerousness of a psychopath with few means. Durand has been married to his long-time girlfriend Sandra Cho since October 2010; in August 2015 he became the father of a daughter.
