Kevin Grant (born January 9, 1969 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a former Canadian ice hockey player who played in the DEL for the Starbulls Rosenheim , the Nürnberg Ice Tigers , the Adler Mannheim and the Hannover Scorpions .

Career

Kevin Grant began his career with the Kitchener Rangers and Sudbury Wolves in the Canadian Junior League OHL , before he was selected ( drafted ) in the 1987 NHL Entry Draft as 40th in the second round of the Calgary Flames .

However, Grant never completed an NHL game for the Flames and was only used in their farm team , the Salt Lake Golden Eagles in the International Hockey League . Grant also spent his further time in North America with lower-class teams and did not complete a single NHL assignment, so that he moved to Germany to the Starbulls Rosenheim for the 1997/98 season.

Via the Nürnberg Ice Tigers, the Canadian came to the German champions from Mannheim in 2000 , which he left after a year for Hanover Scorpions. For the Scorpions, Grant was on the ice for two seasons and then returned to North America, where he played for the San Diego Gulls in the West Coast Hockey League and the ECHL until 2004 . In the 2002/03 WCHL playoffs, Kevin Grant was named the best assists in the final round with twelve assists .
