Kheireddine el-Ahdab

Kheireddine el-Ahdab (also Kheireddine al-Ahdab ; Arabic خير الدين الأحدب Chair ad-Din al-Ahdab , DMG Ḫair ad-Dīn al-Aḥdab ; * 1894 in Beirut ; † 1941 in Marseille ) was a politician from Greater Lebanon .

On January 5, 1937, he became the first Muslim prime minister of Lebanon . He previously published a pan-Arab newspaper. He served - for a little over a year - as head of government until March 18, 1938.

Since his election, the office has always been reserved for a Sunni Muslim. El-Ahdab himself was a Sunni.
