Khosro Sheikh Harandi ( September 11, 1950 - January 8, 2019 ) was an Iranian chess player. Since 1975 he has held the title of International Master and since 2009 he has been a FIDE Senior Trainer.

He is multiple Iranian champion and was a member of the national team at five Chess Olympiads :

He also represented Iran at the 19th student team championship in Graz in 1972 (+6 = 3 -3) and the Asian team championship in 1991 in Penang (+5 = 1 -3).

Harandi won two zone tournaments in Tehran (1975 and 1978) and thus qualified for the subsequent interzonal tournaments . At the Interzonal Tournament Manila 1976 he finished 18th – 20th. Space; Henrique da Costa Mecking won. In 1977 he finished 1st – 3rd. Place in Netanya . In 1978 he finished 4th – 5th. Place in Baguio City . At the 1979 Rio de Janeiro interzonal tournament he was 15th; Lajos Portisch , Tigran Petrosjan and Robert Hübner won. Harandi won the Asian Senior Championship in Beirut in 2010 .

In the late 1980s he played briefly for the English Chess Federation.
