Kicking and Screaming is an American youth film from 1995 and the first feature film by director Noah Baumbach . It tells the story of a group of college graduates who refuse to go on with their lives in their own way. The film was released in US cinemas on October 6, 1995.

The young Grover has just graduated and wants to be a novelist. He is still in love with the beautiful Jane, but she moved to Prague to study. Their relationship doesn't work because of the distance. The aspiring writer is unhappy, but not the only one living in some kind of emotional and professional limbo.
