Life

Paul Kilderry had little success in the course of his career, which is why he specialized in the men's doubles. He celebrated his first double title in 1996 in Rosmalen with Pavel Vízner . They defeated Anders Järryd and Mark Knowles 7-5 and 6-3. The year before, he had lost his first ATP final at the side of Nuno Marques in Newport . Against the German duo Jörn Renzenbrink and Markus Zoecke they lost 1: 6 and 2: 6. Also in 1996 Paul Kilderry reached the final in Newport, this time together with Michael Tebbutt . The final ended 7: 6, 4: 6 and 4: 6 in favor of their South African opponents Marius Barnard and Piet Norval . In the following season he and Nicolás Lapentti won the final in Amsterdam on clay against Andrew Kratzmann and Libor Pimek with 3: 6, 7: 5 and 7: 6. He won his last title in 2000 with Sandon Stolle in Los Angeles . They benefited from the fact that their final opponents Jan-Michael Gambill and Scott Humphries gave up without a fight . After the US Open 2001 he ended his career. The highest ranking in the tennis world rankings reached Paul Kilderry 1995 with position 138 in singles and 1996 with position 67 in doubles.

In singles, he reached the second round at the Grand Slam tournaments in 1993 at Wimbledon . In the doubles competition he was able to move into the round of 16 of the Australian Open and the French Open in 1994 . In the mixed competition, reaching the quarter-finals of the US Open in 1996 was his best result.
