The Evangelical Lutheran Church Kaimberg is located in Kaimberg , a district of the independent city of Gera in Thuringia . The community town of Kaimberg the parish Hilbersdorf belongs to the parish Wünschendorf-Endschütz in the parish of Gera the Evangelical Church in Central Germany . The last service takes place in the church in 1992.

In 1238, Jutta, the wife of Heinrich IV, Vogt von Weida , had a chapel built for the Kaimberg manor on the site of today's church . The core of the late Gothic hall church has a polygonal end in the east. The gable roof is crowned by a small octagonal ridge turret in which the bell cage is located. It is crowned with a baroque bonnet . 1753 was with a flat ceiling provided interior by the patron Mr in the style of Rococo rebuilt and the church facilities renewed. A patronage box was built in the south . The crypt of the von Ziegenhird family is located under the patron's box. The nave got rectangular windows and portals . A floating baptismal angel , carrying the scallop shell as a baptismal bowl, defines the center of the room. The pulpit altar has side passages under a baroque canopy . There is a rocailles base on the predella . The pulpit and the altar are located between columns and pilasters and are crowned by a cornice and a pediment . The galleries in the nave were not built in until the 19th century. There is an epitaph from 1753 in the church .

The organ with 8 registers , divided into two manuals and a pedal , was built in 1882 by Richard Kreutzbach.
