description

The village church was rebuilt in 1627 on the old foundation walls of the previous Romanesque building from the beginning of the 13th century. The hall church has a recessed, rectangular choir and a square church tower in the west, on which an eight-sided, slate-covered dome has been sitting since 1728 , crowned with an open lantern and a tower ball . There is a round arched portal at the nave . In addition to the Romanesque arched windows , there are also windows from the 16th century. The interior is spanned by a flat ceiling supported by coves , the choir has a barrel vault . The parapets of the two-storey galleries are structured by fluted pilasters . They show scenes from the Old Testament and New Testament , created in the middle of the 18th century. The pulpit's basket with fittings from the 17th century is used as an ambo . The organ with 12 registers , divided into a manual and a pedal , was built in 1851 by Friedrich Christian Knauf .
