Kiryl Stupak ( Belarusian Кірыл Сяргеевіч Ступак ; Russian Кирилл Сергеевич Ступак , transcription Kirill Sergejewitsch Stupak ; FIDE spelling Kirill Stupak ; born March 16, 1990 in Minsk ) is a white Russian Schach player .

In 2006 he won the Belarusian U16 championship. In September 2008 he won the U18 European championship in blitz chess in Herceg Novi . In 2009 he became the Belarusian U20 champion. He played for the Belarusian national team at the Chess Olympiads 2010 in Khanty-Mansiysk , 2012 in Istanbul and 2014 in Tromsø . In 2010 he achieved the third-best individual result of all reserve players. At the 2013 European Team Championship in Warsaw , he played on the reserve board and won an individual bronze medal. In January 2014 he won the 80th Belarusian national championship in Minsk , in seventh place on the seed list.

He plays club chess for Vesnianka-Gran Minsk , with whom he took part in the European Club Cup four times .

In June 2007 he was awarded the title of International Master . Everyone achieved the necessary standards for this in 2006: at a tournament in Orscha in February, at the Czech Open in Pardubice with over-fulfillment in July (with victories against, among others, Pavel Blatný ), at a GM tournament in Dubna with over-fulfillment in August which he finished in shared second place, as well as at a tournament in Tscherwonohrad with overachievement in October. He has been a grandmaster since February 2011. He achieved the norms for this at the Junior World Championship in August 2010 in Chotowa and at the Chess Olympiad in October 2010 (double norm).
