Klaus-Peter Sattler
Klaus-Peter Sattler (born August 22, 1941 in Idstein- Heftrich) is an Austrian composer of German origin.
Life & Work
Klaus-Peter Sattler was born on August 22, 1941 in the Heftrich district of the Hessian city of Idstein and studied composition with Karl Schiske , Friedrich Cerha and Gottfried von Eine at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna .
In 1979 Sattler, who has lived in Vienna since 1963, took on Austrian citizenship .
He not only wrote film music, but also composed and produced music for international shows and television series, as well as commercial music. So far he has worked for the German-speaking television stations ORF , 3sat , Sat.1 and ProSieben , for which he partially developed the entire music design. In addition, Klaus-Peter Sattler achieved eighth place as a composer and lyricist at the Eurovision Song Contest 1980 in The Hague for Austria with the song “Du bist Musik” for “ Blue Danube ”.
From 1992 to 2007 he held a professorship for media composition and applied music at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
