Klaus Walleitner (born September 12, 1947 in Munich , † September 1, 2014 in Augsburg ) was a German football player .

Career

From the age of sixteen to nineteen Walleitner played for TSV 1860 Rosenheim . In 1966 he received a licensed player contract with FC Bayern Munich , for which as a midfielder in two Bundesliga seasons he only played two games in his first. He made his debut on September 3, 1966 (3rd matchday) in a 0-0 draw in the home game against Hannover 96 .

After only one season at TSV Haar , the club from the town of the same name east of Munich , he moved to Tasmania Berlin for whom he was active as a defender from 1969 to 1973 in the Berlin Regionalliga .

In 1973 he returned to the Bundesliga and after only two games for Hertha BSC in the current season, he moved to FC Augsburg in the Regionalliga Süd . Walleitner played all eight games - with one goal - in the promotion round to the Bundesliga, in which the club only narrowly failed to Tennis Borussia Berlin . In 1974 he and his club were a founding member of the newly created two-track 2nd Bundesliga . In the season south he played 62 point games, in which he scored eight goals, and five club cup games in the following two seasons . Walleitner let his career end in the 1980s at Augsburg TSV Firnhaberau .
