Kleinberghofen is a district of the municipality Erdweg in the Upper Bavarian district of Dachau . The village has about 1360 inhabitants.

geography

Kleinberghofen is located about 17 kilometers northwest of the district town of Dachau . The place has a stop on the Dachau – Altomünster railway line ( Munich S-Bahn ).

history

The Freising Prince-Bishop Veit Adam von Gepeckh bought the Hofmark Kleinberghofen in 1622 for the Hochstift Freising , to which it belonged until the secularization of 1802.

Until June 30, 1972, the place was a politically independent municipality in the Aichach district . As part of the municipal reform , he formed the new Erdweg municipality on July 1, 1972 together with four municipalities in the Dachau district .

Kleinberghofen was expanded with the large and important construction project Am Pirschgang , which was completed in 2018/19 and consists of four apartment buildings, six semi-detached houses and five single-family houses, thus forming a total of 41 new residential units.

Buildings

• The parish church of St. Martin was built at the end of the 12th century, the tower was built in the 15th century. Inside there are baroque frescoes by Johann Georg Dieffenbrunner (1718–1765), famous in the Dachau region . The church was expanded in 1933 and renovated between 1968 and 1984.

There are two restaurants in Kleinberghofen, a savings bank, a butcher, a carpenter, a bicycle and motor tool workshop, a kitchen studio, a locksmith, a hairdresser, etc.
