The Schmale Sinn is a right tributary of the Sinn in the Bad Kissingen district and in the Main-Kinzig district in the Rhön . Your Bavarian name in the upper reaches is Kleine Sinn .

The Kleine Sinn rises on the southeast slope of the Dammersfeldkuppe (928 m) in the Wildflecken military training area and flows mainly in a westerly direction. At the Schmelzhof desert she leaves the restricted area of the practice area and reaches the village of Kothen . At Speicherz it crosses the Grenzwaldbrücke of the A 7 , flows to Hesse and is now called Schmale Sinn .

The Schmale Sinn flows through the municipality of Sinntal . After Oberzell it changes its direction of flow to the south and flows through Weichersbach and Mottgers , where it flows into the Sinn directly on the Bavarian border between Altengronau and Zeitlofs in the Sinnwiesen nature reserve of Altengronau .
