Klemen Kosi (born June 19, 1991 in Maribor ) is a Slovenian ski racer . He specializes in the downhill and Super-G disciplines.

biography

In December 2006, after reaching the age limit of 15 years, Kosi competed in his first FIS race . First, he competed in all disciplines. His first victories in FIS races came at the beginning of the 2008/09 season. In December 2009 he made his debut in the European Cup . Kosi took part in two Junior World Championships, his best result in 2011 was fourth place in the slalom. He made his debut in the World Cup on March 6, 2011 at the home race in Kranjska Gora ; he started in the slalom and retired in the first run. In January 2012 he made it into the points in the European Cup for the first time, followed a month later by the first top 10 result with a fifth place in the super combination of Sarntal / Reinswald . At the end of the season, he secured two titles at the Slovenian championships ; he won the Super G and the Super Combined.

From the 2012/13 season, Kosi began to concentrate more on the fast disciplines. He took his first World Cup points on January 18, 2013 in Wengen with 14th place in the super combined. At the 2013 World Championships in Schladming , Kosi drove four races and surprised with 12th place in the super combination. In 2014 Kosi took part in the Winter Olympics in Sochi , with the 24th place in the downhill being his best result. On January 24, 2015, he equaled his best World Cup result with 14th place in the Hahnenkamm run in Kitzbühel .
