Knocked Loose is a hardcore punk / metalcore band from Oldham County , Kentucky, founded in 2013 .
history
Knocked Loose was founded in 2013 in Oldham County , Kentucky , USA . The band consists of singer Bryan Garris, guitarists Isaac Hale and Cole Crutchfield, bassist Kevin Otten and drummer Pac Sun. In the founding year, the musicians signed their first record deal with the independent underground label Little Heart Records. In mid-2014, the group released their first EP called Pop Culture . This was followed by the release of a split EP with Damaged Goods in 2015.
At the beginning of 2016 Knocked Loose switched to Pure Noise Records . In mid-July, the debut album Laugh Tracks was announced for release in September of the same year. The album, which was released on October 16, 2016, made it to number 163 on the official album charts of the United States in the week of October 8, 2016 .
Knocked Loose toured with groups like Counterparts , Gideon , Expire , The Acacia Strain , Oceano , Stick to Your Guns , Stray from the Path and Every Time I Die , all of which took place in the United States and partially in Canada . With Expire and Counterparts, Knocked Loose also completed their first European tour , which was also accompanied by Landscapes .
style
Knocked Loose's music is described as hardcore punk , which is heavily influenced by metal , which is why the music can also be referred to as metalcore . Bryan Garris' screaming song is perceived as a desperate grunt, while guitar playing is described as slayeresk . Slight influences of post-hardcore can also be heard in the music of Knocked Loose. Garris also uses spoken word passages in his singing . For example, Code Orange or Suburban Scum are mentioned as musical references .
