Konstantin von Twardowski (* 1760 in Gollmitz ; † October 6, 1830 in Beynuhnen, Darkehmen district ) was a Prussian major general and inspector of the immobile line and Landwehr cavalry squadrons during the Wars of Liberation .

The Twardowski family was a Polish, Protestant noble family that traditionally had good contacts with the Prussian court. His parents were Andreas Alexander von Twardowski (1720-1806) and his wife Petronella Hedwig, born von Kassinowska († 1775), widowed von Zychlinska. His father was the heir to Owietzki, Strychowo, Myslecin and Nowawies, a royal Polish colonel and a Prussian chamberlain under Frederick II and a judge in Gnesen .

Military career

Twardowski came in 1774 as a Junker in the Dragoon Regiment "von Meyer" of the Prussian Army . On March 7, 1776 he became an ensign and on September 5, 1777 second lieutenant . As such, he took part in the War of the Bavarian Succession . On May 21, 1788 Twardowski was Premier Lieutenant and Regimental Adjutant, on September 7, 1793 then captain of the staff and on September 10, 1800 major .
