Kristen Johnston
Kristen Johnston (born September 20, 1967 in Washington, DC ) is an American actress .
life and career
Johnston is the daughter of a senator and a real estate agent . She grew up in Wisconsin ; She spent part of her youth as an exchange student in Sweden and South America . After graduating from the Atlantic Theater Company Acting School in New York City , she began her acting career with small appearances in such films as Austin Powers - Spy in a Secret Missionary Position .
In 1996 she got the leading female role in the series Hinterm Mond immediately left , which she played until 2001 and which earned her the coveted Emmy television award twice .
She also made various guest appearances in series such as Sex and the City and Emergency Room - Die Notaufnahme . Since 2011, she played the lead role of divorce lawyer Holly Brooks in the television series The Exes .
Johnston reported in her autobiographical book Guts: The Endless Follies and Tiny Triumphs of a Giant Disaster , published in 2012 . about her years of alcohol and pill addiction that nearly cost her her life.
On the music album No Substance by the Californian punk rock group Bad Religion , which was released in 1998, Kristen Johnston is depicted on the album cover as a brightly made-up phone sex lady with a crossed out cross on her right breast , the Bad Religion band symbol .
