Kristina Dunz (* 1967 in Lower Saxony ) is a German journalist and author . Since October 2017 she has been deputy head of the parliamentary office of the Rheinische Post . There she is responsible for reporting on the Chancellery and the CDU .

Life

Kristina Dunz went to Paris for a year after graduating from high school . From 1987 to 1989 she studied cultural studies and French at the University of Bremen . After a traineeship at Delmenhorster Kreisblatt , she moved to the German Press Agency in 1991 and worked in Magdeburg , Hamburg and Stuttgart . In 2000 she moved to Berlin , where she was responsible for defense and the left . In 2009 she became Chancellor Correspondent for the German Press Agency and accompanied Chancellor Angela Merkel on more than 50 trips abroad. In 2017 she received the Federal Press Conference Award for her question to US President Donald Trump in Washington about why he was so afraid of the diversity of the press . She has since been considered the "woman who annoyed Trump". Dunz has been working as deputy head of the parliamentary editorial team at Rheinische Post since the end of 2017 .
