Kristine Lunde-Borgersen (born March 30, 1980 in Kristiansand ) is a former Norwegian handball player . She currently works as a trainer for the Norwegian national youth team.
Career
The back court player moved from Aalborg DH to Viborg HK in the summer of 2007 , with whom she won the Danish championship in 2008, 2009 and 2010 and the Danish Cup in 2007 and 2008. In 2009 and 2010 she triumphed with Viborg in the EHF Champions League . Before coming to Aalborg , she played in Norway with Hånes IF, Kristiansand IF and Våg Vipers. For the 2010/11 season she wanted to move to the top Austrian club Hypo Niederösterreich . However, this change did not materialize. Then Lunde-Borgersen moved to their Norwegian homeland to their former club Våg Vipers. In the summer of 2013, she took a break due to her pregnancy. After a year off, she continued her career with the Vipers. After the 2014/15 season, Lunde-Borgersen ended her career and took over as assistant coach from Våg Vipers. In the 2017/18 season, Lunde-Borgersen made her comeback at Vipers Kristiansand, where she continued to work as an assistant coach. Then Lunde-Borgersen ended her active career and remained loyal to the Vipers as an assistant trainer. In 2019, Lunde-Borgersen left her job with the Vipers and took on a coaching position for the Norwegian national youth team.
"Kikki" played 181 games for the Norwegian national team , in which they scored 496 goals. With the Norwegian selection, she won the European Championship in 2004 , 2006 and 2008 . Unlike her sister, she did not take part in the 2007 Handball World Championship due to an injury . A year later she won the gold medal at the Olympic Games . She was part of the squad of her national association at the 2009 World Cup in China . At the 2011 World Cup , she won the World Cup title with Norway. In summer 2012 she took part in the Olympic Games in London and won the gold medal again with the Norwegian team.
