Cultural capital of Lithuania
The cultural capital of Lithuania ( Lithuanian Lietuvos kultūros sostinė ) has been a cultural initiative in Lithuania since 2008 , modeled on the European Capital of Culture . Every year the title is cultural capital of Lithuania from the Ministry of Culture of Lithuania awarded to a city. The project promotes cultural activities and arts in Lithuanian regions.
