Amanda Maria Kurtović (born July 25, 1991 in Karlskrona , Sweden ) is a Norwegian handball player .
Career
Kurtović played for Sandefjord TIF until 2007 . The left-hander then joined the Norwegian first division club Nordstrand, who was trained by her father Marinko. In 2010, the back player signed a contract with Larvik HK , but joined league rivals Byåsen IL before the start of the season . After half a season, she finally moved to Larvik HK on January 27, 2011. With Larvik, she won the championship in 2011 and 2012, and the EHF Champions League in 2011 . From summer 2012 she was under contract with the Danish club Viborg HK . Kurtović injured her shoulder in August 2012 and did not return to the Viborg HK squad until January 2013. When Kurtović suffered from shoulder pain again in April 2013, she had to sit out the rest of the 2012/13 season. With Viborg she won the 2014 European Cup Winners' Cup and the Danish championship. In the 2014/15 season she ran for the Norwegian first division club Oppsal IF . She then returned to Larvik HK. With Larvik, she won the championship in 2016 and 2017. From July 2017 she was under contract with the Romanian first division club CSM Bucharest . With CSM Bucharest she won the Romanian championship in 2018 and the Romanian cup in 2018 and 2019. In the summer of 2019 she moved to the Hungarian club Győri ETO KC .
Kurtović has so far played 115 games for the Norwegian national team , in which they scored 285 goals. At the 2011 World Cup in Brazil, she won the world title. In the summer of 2012 she took part in the Olympic Games in London , where she won the gold medal. In 2015 she won her second world title. She won the bronze medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . She won the gold medal at the 2016 European Championships in Sweden . A year later she won the silver medal at the World Cup in Germany .
With the Norwegian junior selection, Kurtović has won the European Championship and the World Championship.
