Kusi Kwame (born August 9, 1989 ) is a German - Ghanaian soccer player who is under contract with 1. FC Phönix Lübeck .

Career

Born in Ghana, Kusi Kwame completed his entire career as a teenager in clubs in Hamburg . First he played there for Weiß-Blau 63 in Groß Borstel , then for Niendorfer TSV and finally for VfL 93 . From the A-youth of the Winterhude club he moved in the summer of 2007 to his first position in the senior division, USC Paloma Hamburg , with which he qualified in 2008 for the first season of the Hamburg Oberliga . After three years at Paloma, he joined the regional league team Holstein Kiel . However, it was only used five times in two years by the Kielers. Mostly he ran for the second KSV representation in the Schleswig-Holstein League . He then signed with the Regionalliga promoted VfR Neumünster , where he was part of the regular formation in the 2012/13 season .

Kwame left Neumünster after a year, in the summer of 2013. The western regional division SC Fortuna Köln signed him as a supplementary player for the defensive area. He played 14 games for Cologne in the 2013/14 season , who finally won the relegation against FC Bayern Munich II and were promoted to the third division . There Kwame developed as a left-back to a regular player and completed 31 of 38 possible missions in the 2014/15 season , which ended with a safe relegation for his team. At times, he led the Cologne team as captain after Daniel Flottmann's injury-related loss . The contract with SC Fortuna Köln ended on June 30, 2017.

Since February 1, 2018, Kwame has been under contract with FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt. By the end of the 2017/18 season he made 14 appearances.

For the 2018/19 season, Kwame moved to the second team of Hamburger SV , which competes in the Regionalliga Nord . He signed a contract that ran until June 30, 2020. In his first season he was used 14 times, and in the 2019/20 season he made 10 more appearances in which he scored a goal.

For the 2020/21 season, Kwame moved within the Regionalliga Nord to promoted 1. FC Phönix Lübeck .
