Labuch is a former municipality with 799 inhabitants (as of October 31, 2013) in Styria . On January 1, 2015, it was merged with the municipalities of Gleisdorf , Laßnitzthal , Nitscha and Ungerdorf as part of the municipal structural reform in Styria , the new municipality is called "Stadtgemeinde Gleisdorf".

Labuch is located in the district of Weiz in the Austrian state of Styria .

The former municipal area includes the following two localities (population in brackets as of January 1, 2020):

  • Labuch (356)
  • Urscha (492)

The Gleisdorf district consists of the cadastral communities Labuch and Urscha.

politics

The last female mayor of Labuch was Philippine Hierzer since 2003. After the 2010 elections, the municipal council was composed as follows:

The municipal coat of arms was awarded with effect from July 1, 1967.
Blazon (coat of arms description):

"In a blue sign above a golden three-mountain topped with a green clover leaf is a raised silver wave bar."

The former municipality is located on Kleeberg , whose name is echoed in the coat of arms; the watercourse is a reference to the Labuchbach, which flows through the area.
