Lace Up ( English "to put together ") is the debut album of American rapper Machine Gun Kelly . It was released on October 9, 2012 on the Bad Boy Entertainment and Interscope Records labels .

Label boss Sean Combs and Machine Gun Kelly themselves acted as executive producers for the album . The music was produced by a variety of music producers including Alex da Kid , Boi-1da, JUSTICE League and Drumma Boy.

Cover design

The album cover shows the lettering Lace Up , which is made up of red laces. The background is gray and white. The background of the cover of the deluxe edition is red instead of gray and white.

Guest Posts

In addition to Machine Gun Kelly, other artists appear on eleven of the 13 songs on the album. Rock musicians M. Shadows and Synyster Gates can be heard on Save Me , while What I Do is a collaboration with rappers Bun B and Dub-O. The musician Alex Fitts is represented on Stereo and the singer Anna Yvette is involved in All We Have . Rappers Tech N9ne and Twista support Machine Gun Kelly on Edge of Destruction , while he works with R&B duo Planet VI on Runnin ' . Lace Up entered the US charts at number 4 on October 27, 2012 and stayed in the top 200 for twelve weeks. In Germany, it was not able to place itself in the charts.

On September 27, 2011, the song Wild Boy was released as the first single on the album and reached number 98 on the US charts. The second release Invincible followed on April 24, 2012, before the third single Hold On (Shut Up) was released on August 6, 2012.

Awards

On August 15, 2017, Lace Up was awarded a gold record for more than 500,000 sales in the United States .
