Gries im Pinzgau is a place in the Unterpinzgauer Salzachtal , in the Zell am See district . He is the village of the municipality Bruck on the Grossglockner road , the district paints town in the municipality Taxenbach .
geography
The village of Gries is located directly on the Salzach and Pinzgauer Straße (B 311), about 7 kilometers before the opening of the Salzach Valley to the Zeller Basin . The settlement lies on both sides of the alluvial cone of the Brandauer Graben , a small body of water that comes from Hundstein in the Dientener Mountains . The district to the west (upstream) of the brook belongs to Bruck, the east to Taxenbach.
The village of Lacken also includes the Leyrerfeldsiedlung and the individual vineyards of Wengersbach .
The fact that the entire section of Lacken and Gries on the B 311 is designated as a local area with Gries im Pinzgau gave rise to a supreme court proceeding because - similar to the measure taken by Rudolf Vouk in the Carinthian sign dispute , but without political intention - a driver had challenged a fine for a speeding violation on the grounds that the table was invalid. The procedure is pending (as of 6/2011).
