Lackenkarkopf (around the middle, from the Moserkarspitze ) in the northern Karwendel range from the Vogelkarspitze to the Kuhkopf |
The Lackenkarkopf (designation in the official topographic map ÖK 50 and BayernAtlas as well as in the AV map, in the AV guide: Lackenkarspitze ) is a 2416 m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Karwendel in Tyrol . It is located in the eastern part of the northern Karwendel range not far from the Karwendelhaus . The first ascent was made by Hermann von Barth in 1870.
The summit can be reached in 2 hours from the Karwendelhaus ( 1771 m above sea level ). The total walking time from the next valley locations is 7 hours from Scharnitz or 6 hours from Hinterriß over the Kleiner Ahornboden . Therefore, the tour without a bike ride is more suitable as a two-day tour with an overnight stay in the Karwendelhaus. The route from Scharnitz to the Hochalmsattel is easy to ride on a mountain bike, which considerably shortens the ascent and, in particular, the descent and thus enables the ascent as a day tour.
The ascent is from the Karwendelhaus via the Hochalmsattel and Lackenkar as well as the Westgrat ( no paths from the Hochalmsattel, but easy to find).
