The Laimbach is a 5 km long river in Franconia . Together with its main right upper reaches, Bibart , it is 21 km long. The stream is created by the confluence of the Bibart and the banknotes. The river flows in the Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district in Central Franconia and flows southeast of Baudenbach into the Ehebach , which then continues in the direction of Laimbach.
geography
course
The Laimbach arises at about 297 m above sea level. NHN between the places Oberlaimbach and Unterlaimbach from the confluence of the water-rich waters Bibart and Scheine. Then the river, which runs southeast, passes the town of Unterlaimbach. To the east of the village, the utility ditch flows into the river. From this point on, the river runs almost parallel to federal highway 8 . Less than a kilometer further, the river passes the village of Frankenfeld on the left bank. Then the two creeks Kellerfeldgraben and Augraben flow into the Laimbach. The river then flows into the Ehebach west of Baudenbach.
The Laimbach is, together with its own right upper course Bibart, a longer water course up to the confluence than the Ehebach with its upper course Nachtwasengraben, it also contributes over two thirds more to the catchment area of the Ehebach than its own upper course up to the confluence.

Flood
The river is at risk of flooding due to its watery tributaries and its very low gradient. The following table shows the hundred-year flood flows ( HQ100 ) to be expected at various points along the course according to a statistical model .

- ↑ a b c d The banknotes branches off before the confluence with the Bibart, its shorter right arm merges with the Bibart at the Bibart bridge from Oberlaimbach, while its longer left arm just after the Vettermühle before Unterlaimbach. The corresponding length and stationing values are therefore subject to an uncertainty of almost one kilometer. The official length of the Laimbach seems to have been chosen somewhere between the two extreme values.
