LaminiusX is a German-French rock band that belongs to the genres of alternative rock and punk rock . The lyrics are mostly German.

history

LaminiusX was founded in 2004 in Osnabrück by Nesko Hadzimuratovic and Timmi Wolff. The band emerged from previous projects of the two musicians (e.g. TNT, The Rookies).

Playing together in bands began in 1993 when Nesko came to Germany from Bosnia and Herzegovina . Stephan Wolff has been the bassist and permanent member of LaminiusX since mid-2006 . This was followed by minor appearances until the debut album One Man Show was recorded in August 2007 . It was produced and recorded by Timmi Wolff, Nesko Hadzimuratovic and Matthias Lohmöller in the DocMaklang Studios in Osnabrück. In 2008 the socially critical work was published on the Osnabrück indie label Timezone . The album was rated 7 points in Rock Hard , among others . The video of the song " Nothing is important" was shown with scenes from the animal industry, for which images were provided by PETA .

As part of the promotional tour, LaminiusX played as opening act for Subway to Sally , Die Happy , Itchy Poopzkid , Lovex , Last Instance , End of Green , Coppelius , Megaherz , Zeromancer , Vanilla Sky , Motorjesus and Jesus on Extasy .

LaminiusX was able to hold concerts and workshops abroad in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut in Paris . French schools interpreted the band's lyrics in German courses. Too much was chosen as the song and text template . LaminiusX was able to play a show in Paris in 2008. Also in 2010 the band's lyrics and music were interpreted in other cities in France .

The band's second album entitled " Vitamin" was recorded in August 2009 in the Cubeaudio Studio in Göttingen and produced by LaminiusX and Markus Gumball. The album was released on November 26, 2010 on the Timezone label. The single Meins was digitally released on August 13, 2010. In 2014 the song Mehr Licht made it onto a sampler (2 CDs) by Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung and Timezone, on the first CD. This only included bands from Osnabrück . Vitamin was also discussed in online and print magazines including Legacy , Zillo and Rock Hard . Just like its predecessor, One Man Show , Vitamin is polarizing.

In 2014 the band withdrew with producer Fabio Trentini to produce a cover version of the song Creep by Radiohead . This was released digitally and as an animation video on October 24, 2014.

Then the recordings for the new album began, also with Fabio Trentini as producer. For this the band was in different studios, so Nesko's guitars were recorded in the Horus Sound Studio Hanover. Bass and vocals were recorded in Italy. After a longer live break, LaminiusX returned to the stage in November 2018 and played a show on #wirsindmehr on October 21, 2018 in the Bastard Club Osnabrück. The line-up of the band has changed, bassist Stephan has been replaced by Shannon Posadas. The upcoming release of new songs was announced on Facebook .
