The state elections in Vorarlberg in 1969 took place on October 19, 1969. The Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) lost 3.4% and achieved its worst result to date in a state election in the Second Republic with 50.0%. Nevertheless, the ÖVP was able to maintain its mandate level of 20 mandates. The Socialist Party of Austria (SPÖ) also lost 1.8% and lost a mandate. With 27.7%, the SPÖ subsequently had nine members in the state parliament. The winner of the election was the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ), which won 5.2% and achieved seven seats with 21.0%. This meant winning one mandate. The Liberal Party of Austria (LPÖ), which entered the state for the first time, failed to make it into the state parliament with 1.3%; the Communist Party of Austria (KPÖ) did not run for the first time in 1969.
