Lapinin is an island in Bohol Province in the Philippines . This is located off the northeast coast of the island province of Bohol in the sea area of ​​the Danajon reef system in the south of the Camotes Sea . On it is the municipality of President Carlos Polestico Garcia .

It marks the narrowest width of the Canigao Canal . The distance to the island of Leyte is only about 20 kilometers. In front of the island are numerous smaller islands, such as Lapinin Chico and Bonoon, countless smaller coral reefs and seagrass beds . On the coast of the island there are numerous mangrove forests with extensive mudflats and shallow water areas in front of them. The island covers an area of ​​54.82 km², the nearest ferry port is that of Ubay about 16 kilometers from Barangay Poblacion in Cabulao Bay, on the main island of the province.

The island's climate is tropical and humid without a dry period, and rainfall occurs throughout the year.
