Cabilao is a small island in the Philippines . It belongs to the Visayas , the central group of islands in the Philippines.
The triangular island with an area of almost 8 km² and around 3500 inhabitants is 7.5 kilometers off the west coast of the island of Bohol , in the Strait of Cebu , within the island province of the same name. The main town of Cabilao is Looc in the center of the island.
The islanders traditionally live from agriculture and fishing, and recently also from tourism (primarily diving tourism).
