Ponson is a Philippine island in the province of Cebu .
It belongs to the group of the Camotes Islands in the Camotes Sea and is located in front of the main island Leyte , in the southwest is the neighboring island of Poro .
The entire island of Ponson is occupied by the municipality of Pilar .
