Laraine Newman (born March 2, 1952 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actress , voice actress and comedian .

Life

Laraine Newman attended Beverly Hills High School and the California Institute of the Arts.

Newman began her career as a comedian in the well-known comedy troupe "The Groundlings". She was also a founding member of Saturday Night Live , where she performed from 1975 to 1980. Her film career was not a good star, as she had already made her first film Oh, Moses! (1980) had to take a lot of criticism.

Newman had many guest appearances in well-known series such as Behind the Moon Immediately Left , Friends , Chicago Hope - Endstation Hope , A Heavenly Family and Always Again Jim . Since the 2000s she has mainly worked as a voice actress.

In his private life, Newman has been married to actor Chad Einbinder since 1991 . The two have two daughters: Lena (* 1991) and Hannah (* 1995).
