Lars Binckebanck

Lars Binckebanck (born October 11, 1969 in Marne ) is a German economist and university professor .

biography

Binckebanck grew up in a medium-sized entrepreneurial family in Meldorf in Dithmarschen . After graduating from the Meldorfer School of Academics (MGS) and doing military service in Faßberg and Heide , he began studying business administration at the University of Lüneburg in 1990 . After completing his intermediate diploma there, he studied European Business Administration and Languages ​​at the University of Central Lancashire and graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts ( Honors Degree ). Back in Germany, he continued his business studies at the University of Kiel and completed several internships , including a. at GfK in Nuremberg (1994), at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Mittelstandsberatung (DGM, former joint venture between Deutsche Bank and Roland Berger ) in Hamburg (1995) and at Thomas Cook in Bombay (1995).

After graduating with a degree in business administration in 1996, Binckebanck worked as a research manager at Icon Added Value (now Kantar Added Value) in Nuremberg (1997–1999), as a team manager at Klausmeier Marketing Consultants (KMC) in Meerbusch (1999–2001) and as a senior consultant at Mercuri International in Meerbusch (2001–2006). In parallel to his professional activity, he acquired an MBA degree (1998) from the University of Central Lancashire and obtained his doctorate from 2003 at the University of St. Gallen at the Institute for Marketing under Christian Belz. The dissertation "Interactive Brand Management" was accepted in 2006. From 2007 to 2009 he was managing director at the property developer JK Wohnbau (now Isaria Wohnbau AG), responsible for sales and marketing . Concepts developed under his leadership were awarded the Marketing Award of the Real Estate Industry in 2007 and 2010 and the “Golden Immo Idea 2009” prize.

In 2009 Binckebanck took over a professorship for general business administration , especially marketing & international management, at the Nordakademie - Hochschule der Wirtschaft in Elmshorn . In 2015 he accepted an offer from Furtwangen University for a W3 professorship for international marketing. Since August 2019 Binckebanck has been a member of the board of the Nordakademie Hochschule der Wirtschaft in Elmshorn. As part of teaching assignments, he was a. a. at the Europa-FH Fresenius Cologne , the HSBA Hamburg School of Business Administration , the West Coast University of Applied Sciences in Heide and the German Graduate School of Management and Law (GGS) in Heilbronn .

Binckebanck is married and has three daughters - he lives with his family in the northern metropolitan region of Hamburg .
