Last Performance is the title of the seventh feature film by Dutch director Edwin Brienen . It is an American-German co-production and was shot in July and August 2005 in Berlin and New York City . The film premiered at the 2006 Dutch Film Festival.

"Last Performance" tells the story of Julia, a European actress who is moving to New York City . She gets a leading role in an avant-garde play by the eccentric director Magda. Magda is obsessed with dark philosophy like that of Nietzsche and Anton Szandor LaVey . The gay Cooper also plays a leading role in this piece. He has a sexually destructive relationship with Tom, who in turn has serious problems with his own sexuality. Tom abuses Julia for his perverted antics. The jealous Cooper takes revenge and delivers Tom to the criminal JC. After Tom was killed, Julia decides suicide to commit. She hires a professional killer to kill her.
