Laura Lehmus

Laura Lehmus (* 1972 in Riihimäki , Finland ) is a director , on-air producer and art director for film and television. Her short film AlieNation has received numerous awards, including the German Short Film Prize in Gold in 2015 in the animation film category .

Life

After attending school in Finland, Laura Lehmus studied fine art at the F + F school in Zurich from 1993 to 1996 , where she chose the focus on video clip and performance art. Between 1995 and 1996, the performances Lore Ley , Desinfectaproductions were created in Zurich . and Absalom . After completing her diploma in Zurich, she was a student at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne from 1996 to 2001 in the Audiovisual Media course, subject group media design. Her graduation film at the Art Academy for Media Cologne, Not Going Down (2001), is an action film in which Till Franzen, Ronald Marks, Ingrid Profitlich, Dirk Böll and Frank Reidock starred.

After completing her studies, she lived in Berlin and has lived and worked in Helsinki since 2012 .

Laura Lehmus has been producing films in Helsinki since 2012. She runs the Larry Cooper production agency in Helsinki , which also has a branch in Berlin.
