action

Laura Sebald is a goldsmith, lives in Berlin , is heavily pregnant and is about to marry her fiancé Oliver. As she waited for her groom at the registry office and spoke to him briefly on the phone, she heard during the conversation that he had an accident and that he could no longer answer. Since then she has lived very withdrawn with her daughter and works day and night to support her small family.

Five years later, when she is at Oliver's grave, a mysterious man with a white beard appears and explains to her that wishes come true if you only write them down. A short time later she is with her friend in Café Dobel and meets the owner Sebastian Dobel, he is the owner of an Austrian coffee house chain and operator of the chocolate factory of the same name in Salzburg . They only see each other briefly, but both cannot take their eyes off the other. Birgit tells her a lot about Sebastian, Laura, however, pretends not to care, but still has to think about him all the time. She also learns that his manageress Margot Degenschildt is after him, which throws her back in love. Soon it will be possible for Laura to go to an arts and crafts fair, because her friend is unfortunately unable to use the ticket herself, and Birgit puts the invitation to the 100th company anniversary in her jacket pocket.

On the way home through Salzburg's old town, a gang of young people stole her valuable jewelry, which she immediately reports to the police. Back at the hotel she gets her jewelry back from little Peter. However, she does not know who he is and to whom he belongs, since he does not talk about himself. In the police station she meets the youth gang and identifies all the boys for having stolen their jewelry, only Peter keeps them out.

In the evening, when she goes for a walk through Salzburg, she is miraculously maneuvered to Villa Dobel and, thanks to her friend's ticket, ends up at the anniversary party of the parent company Dobel. Then she finds out who little Peter really is, Sebastian's son. Laura and Sebastian see each other again, but the announcement of the engagement of Sebastian and Margot, which his mother arranged, hurts her very much that she suddenly wants to leave the party. However, Peter stops her and shows her his room. Sebastian joins them and they both talk. Margot watches it suspiciously and creates an intrigue against Laura by declaring a valuable family ring missing and accusing Laura of theft. Laura is then not allowed to leave the country, but her friend has to go to Salzburg and without further ado brings Anna, Laura's daughter and grandma with her, which of course makes Laura very happy.

If it weren't for the fact that they're still on the ring, it could be a good time for the three of them. Since the ad was written on Dobel's stationery, Laura assumes that Sebastian reported it, which makes her very angry with him and she doesn't want to know anything more about him. When everything is cleared up, however, Christmas can be celebrated nicely with everyone. Margot was previously fired from the Dobel company because she spent money on business that could not come together with company policy.
