Lauren Daigle
Lauren Daigle (born September 9, 1991 ) is an American singer of Christian pop music .
Life
Daigle grew up in Lafayette, Louisiana . At an early age she sang in a choir, which she took over as director during her studies.
In April 2015 she released her debut album How can it be , which topped both the Billboard's Christian Albums Charts and the iTunes Christian Albums Charts. In 2016 the album was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category “Best Contemporary Christian Music Album”, won numerous Christian music awards and was awarded a platinum record . For the singles How Can It Be , Trust In You and First she received a gold record in the USA.
In 2015 Daigle went on tour with Hillsong United , her first own tour took place in 2016.
At the Grammy Awards 2019 , her song You Say won the Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance / Song category and her album Look Up Child won the Best Contemporary Christian Music Album category. In the same year she had appearances on the Tonight Show and the Ellen DeGeneres Show and played three concerts in Germany.
