Laz Alonso
Laz Alonso (born March 25, 1974 in Washington, DC ) is an American actor .
Life
Alonso was born in Washington, DC . He has Afro-Cuban roots . He graduated from Howard University School of Business with a degree in Business Administration. After college, he started a marketing company with business partners. The success of his company allowed Alonso to pursue his passion for acting. Alonso got his first roles in music videos and commercials. He later moved to New York City to be even closer to the movie business. He currently resides in Los Angeles .
Film career
Laz Alonso starred in films such as Stomp the Yard and Constantine . In the successful film Avatar - Aufbruch nach Pandora by James Cameron , he portrayed the Na'vi warrior Tsu'tey . Alonso also took on roles in various television series such as CSI: Miami , Bones - The Bone Hunter , The Unit - A Question of Honor , Practice - The lawyers , Eyes and Navy CIS . 2014 to 2016 he had a starring role in the series The Mysteries of Laura alongside Debra Messing held.
