Legion: XX is a studio album by the US metal band Burn the Priest . It was released on May 18, 2018 via Nuclear Blast .
Emergence
The band Burn the Priest is the band Lamb of God , which was founded in 1994 as Burn the Priest. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the self-titled debut album, Lamb of God recorded an album with cover versions together with music producer Josh Wilbur . The selection fell on the titles that strongly influenced the musicians as they grew up. The selected tracks come less from metal , but more from punk , hardcore , crossover and sludge . Simultaneously with the album the band released a 7 "single titled Inherit the Earth by The Accüsed and the non-appeared on the album title In the Meantime by the band Helmet on the B side . For the song Kerosene one was music video filmed .

reception
According to Petra Schurer from the German magazine Metal Hammer , the versions of Burn the Priest were "sometimes more, sometimes less successful", but the band's own style would "always get through". Legion: XX would be a “fun record”, but also a “tribute to the acts that may not have received wide recognition”. Schurer awarded five out of seven points.
