The 14th European Athletics Cup Super League final took place on June 26 and 27, 1993 in the Olympic Stadium in Rome ( Italy ) and comprised 36 disciplines (20 men, 16 women), as the number of disciplines around the triple jump for women had been enriched.
Regulations
The regulations had been changed. There was now a super league with a first and a second division instead of the A, B and C division. The cycle was now annual.

Due to the change in procedure, there were a large number of participating countries, so that the start was made at three venues. The countries of the 2nd division (formerly C-final) met in Villach ( Austria ) and Copenhagen ( Denmark ) as well as Rotterdam ( Netherlands ).
