Leipferdingen is a district of the city ​​of Geisingen in the southwest of the Tuttlingen district in Baden-Württemberg .

Leipferdingen lies on the edge of the Baar towards Hegau in a side valley of the Aitrach .

history

Leipferdingen was first mentioned as a villa, que vocatur Liutfridingas in a deed of gift from the St. Gallen monastery on May 3, 778. Pilgrimage Church of St. Michael

Buildings

The traditional pilgrimage church of St. Michael is the attraction of Leipferdingen. The oldest documentary evidence of the pilgrimage to “ Our Lady in Leipferdingen” dates from 1471.

Pilgrimage

Since 2007, at the suggestion of the Freiburg historian Thomas HT Wieners, there has been a regular foot pilgrimage from Pfohren to Leipferdingen every third Sunday in May .
