Lenka Valešová (born August 11, 1985 in Domažlice , ČSSR as Lenka Ledvinová ) is a Czech athlete who specializes in hammer throwing.

Sports career

Lenka Valešová gained her first experience at international championships in 2001 when she was eliminated from the qualification at the youth world championships in Debrecen with a width of 49.05 m, as well as at the junior world championships the following year in Kingston with 55.50 m. She then took part in the European Championships in Munich for the first time, but missed the finals there with 47.65 m. In 2003 she retired at the Junior European Championships in Tampere with 55.58 m in qualification and the following year she finished sixth at the Junior World Championships in Grosseto with 60.18 m. In 2006 she took part again in the European Championships in Gothenburg , where she was eliminated with a throw at 60.85 m in the qualification. The following year she won at the European U23 Championships in Debrecen with a width of 67.43 m silver medal and then won at the Summer Universiade in Bangkok with 66.41 m bronze medal behind the Belarusian Darya Ptschelnik and Eileen O'Keeffe from Ireland. In addition, she qualified for the first time for the World Championships in Osaka , where she did not reach the final with 66.57 m. The following year she took part in the Olympic Games in Beijing and was eliminated there with 67.17 m in qualification .

In 2009 she reached eleventh place at the Student World Games in Belgrade with 65.53 m and then failed at the World Championships in Berlin with 62.92 m in qualification. The following year she missed the finals at the European Championships in Barcelona with 60.74 m.

In 2006 and 2007, 2009 and 2010 as well as in 2020 Valešová became the Czech hammer throw champion. Her personal best of 70.51 m had existed as a national record for several years.
