Lennart Nyman

Lennart Nyman (born July 25, 1917 , † August 25, 1998 ) was a Swedish football player and coach.

Life

Nyman played for Hammarby IF , of which he was a member until his death.

In 1962 Nyman became Sweden's first official national coach . After missing qualification for the 1966 World Cup - Sweden ultimately failed because of a 2-1 home defeat in Stockholm to Germany as second in the group - he was replaced by Orvar Bergmark , who took over the dugout after the last qualifying game against Cyprus .
