Leopold Huber
Leopold Huber (born October 20, 1955 in Harrau ) is an Austrian author, theater and film director .
Life
Huber was born in the Upper Austrian Mühlviertel as the son of a large farming family. He has seven siblings. At a young age he went to Vienna. After graduating from the higher technical federal teaching and research institute Vienna 5 Spengergasse , he studied psychology and psychiatry for three semesters at the University of Vienna . This was followed by studying directing and acting at the Max Reinhardt Seminar at the University of Music and Performing Arts, as well as a music-dramatic seminar with Marcel Prawy and Lothar Knessl from 1976 to 1979.
From 1979 to 1981 he worked as an assistant director at the St. Gallen Theater. Since 1981 he has worked as a freelance writer, theater and film director. Together with his wife, the actress Astrid Keller , he has been running the See-Burgtheater in Kreuzlingen since 1994 .
He lives with her and their three children in Altnau today .
