The Liberty Township is one of 18 townships in Clinton County in the eastern part of the US -amerikanischen state of Iowa .

The Liberty Township is located in eastern Iowa about 60 km west of the Mississippi , which forms the border with Illinois . The Wisconsin border is 50 miles north.
The Liberty Township is 41 ° 54'20 "north latitude and 90 ° 50'53" west longitude and extends over 94 km². The township is traversed from northwest to southeast by the Wapsipinicon River , a right tributary of the Mississippi.
The Liberty Township is located west of Clinton County and is bordered to the northwest by the Jones and to the west by Cedar County . Within Clinton County, Liberty Township borders Sharon Township in the north, Brookfield Township in the northeast, Grant Township in the east, Olive Township in the southeast and Spring Rock Township in the south .
