The Liebfrauenkirche is a Catholic parish church in Gütersloh in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany . The church in the Kattenstroth district belongs to the Gütersloh-Süd pastoral network in the Archdiocese of Paderborn .

history
On July 22, 1952, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Liebfrauenkirche in Gütersloh was set. On September 3, 1952, Cathedral Chapter Dr. Indian ink from Paderborn laid the foundation stone. The construction was supported by many volunteers. On December 29th the three bells were consecrated by Dean Hofius.
Archbishop Lorenz Jaeger inaugurated the church on June 21, 1953 . The Holy of Holies was transferred from the previously built emergency church to the new building.
The Liebfrauenkirche was renovated in 2005.
organ
The organ was manufactured in 1978 by Orgelbau Simon from Borgentreich and expanded in 1989. The slider chests -instrument today 24 Register on two manuals and pedal . the action actions are mechanical, the stop actions are electric.
